I'm a second semester senior at Duke, and I have truly had the best time here. My random roommate from freshman year is still my roommate and counting; I have found many creative, caring, smart and funny people in my classes and my extracurrics; I am in a loving and supportive relationship; and whenever I've had patches of hard times I have always been gratefully surprised by the support and compassion of my peers. I'm a god-damn independent and loving it. I am not blond, tall or skinny. I am not an athlete or here on a scholarship. But I have had the best college experience I could have ever asked for.
